Winter Shows Up in Spring...

Summary

Partly sunny today (Wednesday) with increasing clouds and winds. Ridge top winds of 50 mph this morning gusting up to 80 mph this afternoon. By this evening a strong cold front moves in bring much colder air and a period of heavy snowfall. Then snow showers could linger into Thursday evening. We could see several inches of snow with up to a foot along the crest. Highs in the 40's today and 20's and 30's for Thursday. Nice weather returns Friday into Sunday but we could see some gusty winds up high. Highs warm back into the 40's, and 50's at lake level by Saturday. By Sunday afternoon the next cold front is pushing in with more cold air and snow moving in Sunday night and lasting into Monday night. This storm could drop over a foot of snow on the mountains. After a break next Tuesday-Wednesday another storm could move in next Thursday. Then a nice weekend for the weekend of the 21st-22nd. The last week of the month we could see more storms as a trough stays near the West Coast.
