Cold Saturday, Light Snow Saturday Night...

Summary

- Saturday we will see lighter winds gusting to 30+ mph, partly cloudy skies with a chance of a scattered snow shower through the day, and snow levels around 5000-5500 ft. Highs in the 30s at lake level and 20s on the mountains. Little if any snowfall accumulations expected. - A final system Saturday night brings light snow and even colder air. Snow levels dropping below 4000 ft. overnight. We could see a final 1-5 inches of snow across the Tahoe Basin, with the highest amounts west of the lake along the Sierra crest. - Sunday through Tuesday we should see drier weather with highs in the 30s and lows in the teens. - The next storm looks like it will split off the coast with only a slight chance for scattered snow showers Wednesday. - Thursday into next weekend, the next storm will bring precipitation to northwest CA. That band of precipitation may eventually push into the Tahoe Basin next weekend with more rain and snow. We will be tracking this system all week. - Going into the week of the 23rd we may see a cool but drier pattern setup through the week.
