5 Storms Possible Over the Next 8 Days...
Summary
- Partly cloudy skies and colder for Wednesday with highs in the 30s at lake level and 20's on the mountains. Winds have dropped with ridgetop gusts of 30-40 mph. - The next weak system moves in after midnight Wednesday night into Thursday. We could see 1-2 inches of snow on the east side of the lake and 2-4 inches on the west side by the time the system winds down Thursday afternoon. Still cold with highs in the 30s at lake level and 20s on the mountains. Ridgetop winds gusting to 40+ mph. - Friday we have brief ridging with sunny skies and highs in the 30s on the mountains and 40s at lake level. Then late Friday night into Saturday another weak system moves through. This one could drop a dusting to an inch on the east side of the lake, and 1-2 inches on the west side. Highs in the 20s on the mountains and 30s at lake level. Ridgetop winds to 60+ mph Saturday morning and coming down through the day. - We could see a break Sunday during the day. Then by Sunday evening, the next weak system could move in with snow showers Sunday night into Monday. This system could bring several more inches of snow. It stays cold into Monday. - We could possibly see two stronger cold storms next week. One Tuesday and another next Thursday-Friday. We will continue to track these systems as they could possibly bring up to a foot or more of snow if the current forecast tracks hold.
