Dry & Mild with Shots of Cold & Light Snow...

Summary

- Thursday through Saturday a strong area of high pressure builds in over CA. We have some clouds Thursday with highs in the 40s. Then sunny Friday-Saturday with highs into the 50s. - A trough pushes into the West Sunday bringing much colder air, gusty winds, and the chance for light snow showers. We could see snow showers by late morning through Sunday afternoon. A dusting for lake level and 1-3 inches of snow possible on the mountain, less south of the lake. Highs in the 30s early Sunday and dropping during the afternoon. Ridgetop winds gusting to 65+ mph Sunday morning, dropping to 45+ mph in the afternoon. - Monday is sunny and cold with highs in the 20s. Brisk east winds gusting to 40+ mph will make it feel even colder. Then we stay sunny through the end of next week, warming each day with lighter winds. Highs into the 30s Tuesday, 40's Wednesday-Thursday, and possibly 50s at lake level by the end of the week. - We could see another shot of cold and snow showers the weekend of the 8th. The drier pattern could continue through the week of the 10th, but the models are trying to bring in some cold/weak systems from the north/northwest with light snow.
