Snow Showers Saturday, Clouds/Sun & Unsettled through Thursday...

Summary

- The next system moves in by late Saturday morning. We will see snow showers through the day on Saturday becoming more scattered Saturday night. Snow levels below lake level. We could see a dusting up to 3 inches at lake level, and 1-6 inches of snow to the mountains. Highs dropping back into the 30s. Ridgetop winds still gusting to 65+ mph. - Clouds and scattered snow showers over the mountains remain a possibility Sunday through Monday, with clouds and sun around the lake. The best chance of showers is west of the lake along the crest. A coating up to a couple inches of snow could accumulate on the mountains. Highs int he 30s on the mountains and 40s at lake level. Snow levels near to just below lake level. Southwest winds gusting up to 25+ mph. - Tuesday - Thursday, the storm off the coast moves into CA. The exact track of the low will determine where we see the heaviest precipitation amounts but the heaviest amounts look to fall south of Tahoe. We could see a few showers around the Tahoe basin as well as clouds and sun. Snow levels rising. Highs in the 30s on the mountains and 40s at lake level. The best chance to see an inch or two will be on the south side of the lake above 7k. - We could see a drier weather Friday with highs in the 40s on the mountains and 50s at lake level. Then we could see another system move down from the north for next weekend with colder air and the chance for more snow. The track of the system will determine how much snow we could see, so we will be watching that all week.
