Telluride Daily Snow

Warm Wednesday, dry Thursday, snow Friday
Summary
We are looking forward to (maybe) more open terrain this week and new snow on Friday.
Update
Reminder: Open terrain is still limited across the mountain, and (I think) more terrain should continue to open this week.
Tuesday was sunny and warm with a high temperature in the 30s, and now Wednesday will bring similar weather with sunny skies and warm temperatures in the 30s to low 40s.
The next storm later this week will bring snow beginning on Friday late morning or midday and continue through Friday afternoon/night. Since the storm will move through rather quickly and contain limited moisture, I'll hold my snow forecast on the moderate side with maybe 3-6 inches from late Thursday night to Friday evening. There is a chance that we see the higher-side amounts of 4-6+ inches due to the fluffiness of the snow, but again, with limited moisture and the storm's limited duration, I am keeping my expectations reasonable.
For snow quality, we should have some fresh snow to enjoy on Friday midday and afternoon, with conditions likely getting softer throughout the day as snow showers stick around.
Temperatures on Friday will be in the teens, and Saturday will be colder with temperatures in the upper single digits to low teens, so dress warmly. Unlike the last storm, this upcoming storm will NOT bring in gusty winds, so that's a win.
From later Saturday night through the entire following week, temperatures will remain chilly with highs in the 20s. There will be a few chances for snow, though this potential snowfall is uncertain with no significant storms moving through and just some storm energy around and decent moisture. The most likely scenario is that we will hold on to our snowpack due to chilly temperatures, some more terrain will/may open, yet total new snowfall will be limited.
The next chance for a more defined/stronger storm will likely be in the December 18-20 range, and I'll keep you posted as we move closer to these dates.
