Telluride Daily Snow
By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 11 months ago December 16, 2023
The mountain is looking good, but no new snow for a while
Summary
Expect sunny conditions through Wednesday with high temperatures in the 20s and 30s.
Update
We are coming up on a stretch of dry and calm weather with a low likelihood of significant snow between now and Christmas.
The good news is that we just received 9 inches of snow and the mountain is looking pretty good, though there is still little available open terrain.
From a weather perspective, if you like sunshine and warm-ish temperatures, the next five days will be for you as we'll see dry conditions and high temperatures mostly in the 30s.
The next storm chances will be around Thursday, December 21 to Friday, December 22, and around Sunday, December 24 to Monday, December 25. Right now, it appears that storms during this time will mostly track to the northwest and to the southwest of Colorado, which would not lead to significant snow for us here at Telluride. I have confidence in this forecast, though, so maybe things will change in our favor.
I wish I had snowier news, and thanks for reading!
