Possible powder on Saturday and Sunday

Summary

Tuesday through Friday will be mostly dry, and then a storm will bring snow from Saturday through Sunday.

Update

We now have about 22% of trails open, and we need more snow to soften conditions and open more terrain.

For this week, Tuesday through Friday will be mostly dry, and we might see a few snow showers at some point on Wednesday, Wednesday night, and/or Thursday, with perhaps a bit of accumulation by Thursday morning.

For temperatures, mornings will likely bring inversions with colder temperatures at the base and warmer readings up on the mountain. Highs each day should range from in the upper 20s to the upper 30s.

For sunshine, most of the week will bring some clouds, though we might sneak in more sunshine early on Friday.

Our next chance for snow will be when two storms combine and strengthen near Colorado. Expect snow to begin on Friday night with snow possible on Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday. While I am a bit unsure of the exact timing of the best snow, both Saturday and Sunday could deliver softer turns, and my early estimate is in the 4-9 inch range. Temperatures on Saturday will be in the 20s, and temperatures on Sunday will be cooler, with a high in the teens.

After that, we'll likely see a few dry days following Christmas, and then another storm might arrive closer to the New Year, plus or minus a few days.
