Freshies on Sunday morning

Summary

Saturday night's storm delivered some snow and we'll enjoy softer conditions and chilly temperatures on Sunday morning.

Update

Following the 2 inches of snow on Friday night, we saw a lull in the storm on Saturday, and then we were lucky as a few intense snow showers hit the mountain during the second phase of the storm on Saturday night. We picked up about 6 inches of snow on Saturday night from these showers - good for us!

On Sunday morning, expect softer conditions with some fluffy snow and we'll see temperatures in the single digits and teens. Following some morning low clouds, we should see mostly sunny skies.

Following this storm, Monday, December 25 through Sunday, December 26 will be dry. Monday and Tuesday will be chilly with a high temperature in the teens and lingering clouds, and then we'll see a warmer temperature with highs in the 20s and more sunshine from Wednesday through Sunday.

Looking ahead to early 2024, most of the longer-range models show a high-ish chance for a more consistently stormy weather pattern for the first two weeks of the month. I'll hold out cautious optimism that this will happen, and of course, will keep you posted as we get closer to this time.
