Snow showers this week, sunshine next week

Summary

We'll see snow showers on Sunday and Monday, drier weather on Tuesday and Wednesday, and more snow showers on Thursday and Friday.

Update

Saturday was partly to mostly cloudy and dry with a high temperature in the upper 20s to low 30s.

Sunday and Monday

Waves of moisture and weak storm energy will move into Colorado from the southwest, and any of these waves could deliver a coating to a few inches of snow accumulation. The best chance for accumulating snow will likely be on Sunday night and again on Monday night. During this time, skies will be mostly cloudy and the high temperature each day will be in the 20s to low 30s.

Tuesday and Wednesday

While I can't rule out some snow showers, I think the weather will be mostly dry during these three days. Skies will likely be partly to mostly cloudy, and the high temperature on each day will again be in the 20s.

Thursday and Friday

Another round of snow showers should track through Colorado from the northwest, and again, each round of snow showers could drop anything from a coating to a few inches of snow. Temperatures will cool a bit with highs in the upper teens to low 20s.

Saturday, January 27 to Friday, February 2

Most of the time from Saturday to Friday will be dry, mostly sunny, and warmer with a high temperature in the 30s. If you like to cruise around the mountain in the sunshine, this will be your week!

Saturday, February 3 to Sunday, February 4

At some point in early February, most of the longer-range models agree that storms will return to the Rockies. It appears that this weekend could be the start of a stormier weather pattern, so we'll keep an eye on this and hope for the best (which is for more snow:-).
