Snow and wind this weekend

Summary

Friday will be mostly dry, warm, and windy, then we'll see snow from Friday night through Saturday.

Update

Thursday

Thursday was another sunny and warm day with a high temperature in the 40s.

Friday

Friday will be the final day of warm weather with a high temperature in the upper 30s to low 40s. Winds will be gusty all day with upper mountain with speeds of 30-50 mph. We may also see a few snowflakes flying around.

Saturday

On Friday night and Saturday morning, bands of intense snow should deliver 4-8 inches of accumulation with possible softer snow by Saturday mid-morning. Temperatures will drop into the teens, making the base crunchy, so the best snow conditions should be on lower-angle and/or previously groomed terrain.

From Saturday midday through the afternoon, snow showers may continue, potentially adding up to another inch or two of snow.

Saturday Night & Sunday

On Saturday night, snow showers will stop.

Then for closing day on Sunday, April 7, we should see soft snow following Saturday's storm as well as mostly sunny skies with a high temperature in the 20s. It doesn't get much better than this for the weather on closing day!

My next update will be Saturday morning.
