More snow for the West over the next 7 days

Summary

Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado will wake up to more snow on Wednesday morning. The next storm will arrive late in the week with snow falling across the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies on Friday and Saturday, before spreading into Colorado and New Mexico on Sunday and Monday.

Short Term Forecast

Deep start to the week for the Southern Rockies

This past weekend's storm delivered deep totals across Colorado and Northern New Mexico and some of the best conditions of the season for areas that got hit the hardest. Taos was one of these hard-hit areas with a storm total of 25 inches reported. Yet another storm was underway across Northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado on Tuesday night with a nice refresher expected by the time the lifts start spinning on Wednesday morning.

Forecast for Wed, Mar 17 – Thu, Mar 18

Tuesday night's storm over the Southern Rockies will move east onto the plains on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a storm will impact Northwest BC and Southeast Alaska with snow for areas such as Shames Mountain (BC) and Eaglecrest (AK).

Forecast for Fri, Mar 19 – Sat, Mar 20

The next storm will bring snow to British Columbia, the Pacific Northwest, and California on Friday. Snow will then pick up across the Northern U.S. Rockies on Friday night and Saturday. In the East, rain will change over to snow across portions of the Mid-Atlantic on Friday.

Forecast for Sun, Mar 21 – Mon, Mar 22

Colorado and New Mexico will be the favored spots in the Rockies for picking up snow on Sunday and Monday. A storm will also impact the Northwest with low snow levels expected.

Extended Forecast

Outlook for Tue, Mar 23 – Sat, Mar 27

Another storm is possible across the Four Corners region next Tuesday/Wednesday (March 23rd-24th). British Columbia could see a storm around the middle of next week as well. The East is looking quiet during this time with warm temperatures and spring conditions expected.
