Frank Forecast

Summary

Mostly cloudy today and tomorrow. A storm pushes in late Monday night with some soft turns possible for Tuesday morning. Another system possible late in the week.

Short Term Forecast

Closing day for many resorts today!  It's also Tax Day.  Nobody likes paying taxes, but I am thankful for all the amazing publicly available forecast tools that our taxes afford us all.  I'm also thankful that our last storm brought up to 28" of fresh snow to the region.  Highest amounts, as expected, were in LCC.  I had myself a great powder day on Friday.  Videos of snorkel deep powder posted on social media if you need to experience it vicariously.

Mostly cloudy conditions in advance of system for tomorrow night.  Snow Tuesday morning should give a chance for a halfway decent powder day on Tuesday.  Then another system is possible for later this week.  If we look at GEFS ensemble members:

The Tuesday powder day could feature 5-10" of new snow.  Of course, only Brighton and Snowbird will be open for lift-service powder.  Then, Alta will reopen on Friday for the weekend, just in time for another storm.  Confidence in the details are still low, but we could be looking at another spring powder day on Friday.  Snow levels should not be an issue as there is plenty of cold air this week.

Extended Forecast

Didn't look past this week...
