Our storm is pushing in this morning. The big change from yesterday's forecast is that we are expected to see precipitation move in a bit earlier than expected. Yesterday, the best precip was showing as holding off until after noon in the Wasatch. Today we could see it arrive as early as 10am, moving from north to south. Here is the forecasted radar at 12pm today:

While this is only a couple hours change in timing, it is likely to have a significant impact on conditions today. Windy this morning as the front approaches, then heavy snow late morning through afternoon. That means that today might be a very good day for storm skiing with conditions rapidly improving and legit powder by last chair. It also means that road conditions will deteriorate. Hopefully traction law is enforced this morning so that we don't end up with a messy disaster on the down-canyon drives this afternoon. Be aware that there is potential for a difficult drive home. 

Snow will push into southern Utah this evening and overnight with a lull in northern Utah. NW flow picks up again by tomorrow morning and places like LCC could add to their totals if orographics help us out a bit.

With good ratios averaging about 15:1 in this storm, wouldn't be surprised to see 7-15" of snow. If NW flow orographics really turn on, we could get more in LCC tomorrow, but that's always a bit of a wildcard. Southern Utah likely to see lesser amounts with 4-8" at Brian Head and 5-10" at Eagle Point. 

We dry out by Tuesday with a cool and dry week ahead. We could be brushed by a weak system on Wednesday but mostly just clouds and a few breezes in far northern Utah. 

The next chance for storms looks to be on or after Feb 14. Models have a trough digging deep to our west and then south. You can see that here:

This is most likely to favor the desert southwest but we should see some scraps in Utah as well with some cold temps. It does look like there will be additional systems beyond mid-month with troughing persisting over the west. Hopefully this is a sign of an active second half of February.
