Friday Update

Update

Just a quick update this morning... full details in yesterday's post still applicable...

Weak storm yesterday did as expected, which is to say, not much.  1-2" for most resorts with 4" for Alta.  Not sure how accurate that is as the Alta-Collins sensor was having issues yesterday for a time.  One of those days yesterday where we saw frequent light snow, but little in the way of accumulation.

A break this weekend with slightly warmer conditions.  Storm pushes in Sunday night into Monday.  Not a ton of dynamic or moisture with this system, but we should still see a burst of heavy snow on Monday morning.  4-8" still possible with perhaps 6-12" in favored areas thru Tuesday.  The main story will be the VERY cold air.  High temps in the 20s in the lower valleys and single digits on the mountain.  Any winds will make it feel much colder.

Models struggling with the details of another potential storm for later next week.  We'll check back tomorrow and see if there's any agreement.

Snowbasin and PowMow are now open.  Solitude and Alta open today.  Deer Valley opens this weekend. Plenty of opportunities to get some!
