Update

We will trade powder days for dry days this week as Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will be dry and warm with highs in the 40s near and above mid-mountain. High-and-mid-level clouds could filter the sunshine at times, which could slow the softening process of the snow, but with warm temperatures, the snow will eventually soften and you'll enjoy classic spring skiing. The only weather issues will be a few showers on Wednesday, and gusty winds on Thursday.

Then our final storm of the season is still on track to bring snow from Thursday night through Saturday midday with 6-12+ inches of accumulation. This storm will be colder than the previous system, so expect snow to fall all the way to the base and snow quality to be light and fluffy.

Skiing powder will be best all-day Friday with snow that gets deeper through the day, and also on Saturday morning when the snow should be the softest. The only issue with Saturday morning is if the clouds clear early, which would allow the sun to turn the powder into mush earlier in the day. However, Winter Park's location further to the east, closer to the continental divide, gives me a bit more confidence that the snow and clouds could hang on through Saturday morning.

After that, Sunday and Monday should be dry, with a chance for light snow on Tuesday, April 17th, and perhaps a stronger storm around Friday or Saturday, April 20-21st.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
