Update

Friday

We’ll see scattered snow showers during the midday and early afternoon, then expect an intense band of snow to hit between 3 pm to 5 pm. Accumulations will likely be in the 1-3 inch range.

Friday Night

Snow showers will continue with a somewhat more favorable wind from the west-northwest and cooling temperatures. Due to the cooler air, this snow should be fluffier than the snow on Friday. Accumulations will likely be in the 3-6 inch range.

Saturday Morning

We should have a powder morning on Saturday with 4-8 inches of accumulation from the snow later on Friday and Friday night. I’ll keep my expectations in check due to the limited moisture with this storm, but if all of the factors align perfectly (wind direction + temperature + upper-level energy) then perhaps we’ll get snow totals to the high end or over the high end of the range.

Sunday and Next Week

We could see light snow later Saturday, Saturday night, and Sunday, though accumulations should be light.

Then a series of storms will bring snow to Colorado during all of next week and I think the best chance for the best powder will be around Wednesday. I’ll keep you posted as I become more confident in the details of the forecast.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
