Update

Recap: Sunday

We saw clouds, flurries, and some breaks of sunshine during the day on Sunday.

Monday & Tuesday

A storm to the south of Colorado will push moisture northward into the state. We might see a few showers now and again, though the warm air and wind from the southwest do not favor significant snowfall. Expect high temperatures on both Monday and Tuesday to reach into the 30s with partly-to-mostly sunny skies in between any snow showers.

Storm: Tuesday Night – Wednesday Night

A very strong storm will form over eastern Colorado and this should give us a chance for snow starting later Tuesday night with snow continuing through Thursday morning.

We’ll have plenty of moisture and storm energy to convert this moisture into snow, and a wind direction from the northwest is favorable for significant snow as well.

Expect total snowfall of 8-16 inches with some snow on Tuesday night, a lot of snow during the day on Wednesday, and snow continuing through Wednesday night into Thursday morning. The powder should get deeper through the day on Wednesday with perhaps the deepest and fluffiest powder on Thursday morning.

Longer Range

We will see a break in the snow from Friday, March 15 through about Wednesday, March 20. After that, we could see a storm around March 21-22, and then a snowy weather pattern could set up over the western US starting around the weekend of March 23-24.
