Enjoy another warm and sunny day on Sunday, and then look forward to two weak storms this week.

The first storm will bring clouds and light snow from Sunday evening through Monday morning. Snow accumulations should be between a dusting to 2 inches. Not a lot, but we’ll take the flakes!

The second storm will breeze by northeastern Colorado on Wednesday night and could bring a few clouds and flurries through Thursday morning.

The main impact of both storms will be cooler temperatures, and this will allow mountain crews to continue snowmaking operations during the nighttime.

Looking ahead 7-10 days, I am keeping my eye on November 16-20th as a time when multiple storms could move close to or over Colorado. It’s still a bit soon to get excited for potential systems that are 7+ days away, though since all models are showing some action returning to the Rockies, I am cautiously optimistic that we’ll see some snowflakes during this time.
