Opening Day is still TBD but not before November 30th.

The weak storm on Thanksgiving Day did not drop a coating to an inch like I expected but rather delivered 2-3 fluffy inches to the mid-mountain snow stake. This amount of snow is not a game-changer, but it was welcome to see the flakes!

For Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, expect dry weather a lot of sunshine. High temperatures each day will be in the 20s with overnight lows cold enough for snowmaking.

For Tuesday, a weak storm should bring more clouds and maybe light snow. Perhaps this storm will overproduce like the Thanksgiving Day system. While odds for a lot of snow are low, odds for cooler temperatures are pretty good, so mountain crews will be able to make a lot more snow during the middle of the week.

The outlook from December 2-10 is still for little or no additional snow. Maybe the atmosphere will surprise us with a storm, but right now, the odds for this are low.

Something new in the longer-range forecast is that the European model is hinting about a potential storm around December 11th while other models are not going for this. We'll see how this shakes out.

On the positive side, all models are showing (and have shown) a flip to stormier weather during the final 10-ish days of December. It only takes a few weeks of stormy weather to get a lot of the mountain open, so fingers (and toes) crossed that the latter part of December delivers the flakes.
