Tuesday brought additional light snow with 1 inch of accumulation.

On Tuesday evening the snow stopped, then later on Tuesday night the snow returned thanks to a new batch of moisture and lift created by the jet stream moving overhead. The snow stake shows 3 inches of overnight accumulation now on Wednesday morning, and snow should continue to fall with a few additional inches during the day. Enjoy the soft turns!

We’ll see a break in the snow from Wednesday evening through Thursday afternoon.

Then the next storm will bring accumulating snow from Thursday night through Friday night with 3-6 inches and potentially more. Turns on Friday should be soft and may get softer through the morning/day.

From Saturday, December 19 through Tuesday, December 22, expect drier weather as the storm track stays to our north. We might get clipped by a few snow showers on Saturday and Sunday with light accumulations, but right now snow amounts look low.

The next chance for a storm will be around Wednesday, December 23rd. This system is trending weaker and more disorganized, so keep your snow expectations in check.

After that, it appears that we’ll be in for drier weather between about December 24 to December 28. Then most models agree that a stormier pattern will return starting around December 30, plus or minus a day or two. Let’s hope this happens – we could use the snow!
