Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Winter Park Daily Snow

Snow arrives Friday night and continues through Saturday at Winter Park

Summary

Expect partly cloudy skies on Friday with 2-6 inches of snow from late Friday night to Saturday evening.

Short Term Forecast

On Thursday, we saw partly sunny skies and warm high temperatures in the 30s.

On Friday, expect more of the same with partly-to-mostly cloudy skies and high temperatures in the 30s.

The next storm is on track and will bring snow starting on Friday night and snow should continue throughout the day on Saturday and maybe linger into Saturday evening. All available models continue to point to 2-6 inches as the likeliest amount of snow, and this would create soft turns on Saturday morning with turns becoming softer and deeper through the day as long as the snow showers continue as expected. Also, there is a chance that a few snow showers linger after lifts close on Saturday afternoon, and if this happens, there could be some fresh snow to enjoy on Sunday morning as well.

Extended Forecast

Sunday will be a gorgeous day with sunshine, a chilly start with temperatures in the single digits and teens, and then highs warming into the 20s during the midday and afternoon.

Monday and Tuesday will be cloudier days as moisture streams into the sky in advance of our next storm. Temperatures on these days will be warmer with highs in the 30s.

Then our next storm will really be a series of storms with snow beginning on Tuesday night, February 2nd, and the snow may continue on-and-off for five or six days through February 8th. Will we receive a lot of snow? A moderate amount of snow? Big powder days? Many powder days? These are good questions and I cannot yet offer answers since it’s too soon to work out the details of this storm. I am confident that we’ll see chances for snow during many days in a row, and I do hope that multiple days of snow will lead to soft turns and fun conditions.

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
