Winter Park Daily Snow

Snow through the holiday weekend at Winter Park
Summary
Wednesday morning will offer just a dusting of fresh snow that fell on Tuesday night, then more snow will fall from Friday through Saturday morning.
Short Term Forecast
On Tuesday and Tuesday night, we saw just light snow showers and the mid-mountain snow stake is showing somewhere between a dusting and 1 inch of snow.
From Wednesday through Thursday, I expect a mix of drier weather, maybe some breaks of sunshine, and maybe some showers. We will be under the influence of lingering moisture and weak storm energy, but it is unlikely that these factors will be enough to create much if any accumulating snowfall.
From Friday through Friday night, the chance for snow will increase, especially from later Friday afternoon through Friday night. Let’s set our expectations around 5-10 inches for now with the best chance for soft snow and powder on Saturday morning.
Saturday should offer a short break in the snow.
Then from Saturday night through Sunday night, the next storm will arrive. Due to the storm’s unfavorable southern track, we will likely see lighter snow amounts, though if we’re lucky, perhaps we’ll sneak out 6+ inches if a few factors come together perfectly. We’ll dial in the forecast over the coming days.
Extended Forecast
Next week, from Monday, February 15 to Friday, February 19, the weather pattern looks active with at least two storms, one around Tuesday and another around Thursday. Let the good times roll!
