Winter Park Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Winter Park Daily Snow

By Joel Gratz, Founding Meteorologist Posted 3 years ago April 29, 2021

Warm through Saturday, then snow from May 2-5

Summary

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday will be dry, mostly sunny, and warm. Then winter will return with snow from Sunday through Wednesday.

Short Term Forecast

Reminder: The Winter Park side is closed, and Mary Jane will remain open through Sunday, May 9.

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, we’ll see dry weather. High temperatures on Thursday will be in the 40s, then Friday and Saturday will be warmer with high temperatures in the upper 40s to mid-50s. The sunniest days will be on Thursday and Friday with high clouds filtering the sunshine on Saturday.

Extended Forecast

Between Saturday night and next Wednesday, May 5, we will see a series of storms. Each day and night during this 3-4 day stretch could bring snow, and total amounts could be 5-10+ inches. If the snow does fall as we expect, there could be fun (soft) turns because the thicker snow could be enough to cover and soften the crust below. Stay tuned for more potential powder days coming up.

Looking farther ahead, we should see dry weather from May 6-8, and then another storm could arrive just in time for closing day on Sunday, May 9.

With more snow in the forecast, I will write daily updates through at least early next week. Winter just won’t quit, so I won’t either:-)

Thanks for reading and check back each morning for daily updates!
