Snow on Saturday

Summary

Thursday and Friday will be dry. Then on Saturday, expect snow for at least a few hours during the morning and midday with 1-4 inches of accumulation. The next storm could arrive just before Thanksgiving

Update

On Wednesday morning, we saw snow showers that added 1 inch to our 3-inch total from Tuesday night. Then for the rest of Wednesday, skies were sunny and temperatures stayed chilly with readings in the teens and low 20s.

Now on Thursday morning, temperatures are still chilly (snowmaking is ongoing) and the sunrise is gorgeous as it illuminates high, thin cirrus clouds.

Weatherwise, we'll see dry and partly sunny skies on Thursday and Friday with high temperatures in the 30s.

On Saturday, a storm will clip northern Colorado and we should see snow start around sunrise with flakes falling through midday or early afternoon. Total accumulations should range from 1-4 inches, and this will be enough to put a little refresh on the slopes. I wouldn't call Saturday a powder day, but it could be a little softer than other days, and temperatures will be cooler, topping out in the 20s.

On Sunday and Monday, expect dry weather with highs in the 30s.

Our next chance for snow will be on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week. A storm might wobble toward Colorado from the southwest, but it also could just miss us and stay too far to the south. Snowfall could be anything from zero inches to a few inches to 6+ inches if all factors come together perfectly. We'll dial in the forecast over the next few days.

Right now, open terrain is limited to just a few trails, and we'll need a solid storm or two to open up a lot more terrain. Do your snow dances!
