Snow through the end of the week

Summary

Snow fell on Tuesday and Tuesday night, and we'll see snow through Friday afternoon.

Update

The storm keeps delivering snow thanks to wrap-around moisture and storm energy creating a flow from the west and northwest. Snowfall from Tuesday morning through Wednesday morning was about 4 inches at mid-mountain (via the snow stake cam).

This storm will stick with us on Wednesday, Wednesday night, maybe wane a bit later on Thursday, then the snow will turn on again on Thursday night into Friday morning. During this time we should see 3-6 additional inches, and we could go somewhat above this range if all factors perfectly align.

On Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and likely Tuesday, we'll see a break in the snow with dry weather, sunny skies, and warmer high temperatures in the teens and 20s.

Then the snow should return with a storm around December 21-22, and snow might continue through Christmas thanks to a favorable storm track from the west-northwest.
