Cold on Friday! Then a warmer weekend.

Summary

Light snow fell on Thursday afternoon and evening, and now Friday will be very cold.

Update

Thursday started dry, then a weak storm crossed Colorado and dropped snow on the mountain later on Thursday. The snow total at mid-mountain was about 1 inch.

Now on Friday, expect cloudy weather and very cold temperatures with a high near or colder than 0°F. Dress warmly!

On Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday expect dry weather and a decent amount of sunshine, and temperatures will be warmer with highs in the upper teens and low 20s. It'll feel like a heat wave (joking:-) and conditions will continue to be soft and fun thanks to the low impact of the sun due to the low sun angle.

Starting around Wednesday, December 21st, a new weather pattern will develop with frequent storms sideswiping northern Colorado. If this pattern sets up just right, we could see snow every other day or so with really fun conditions. However, if the storms stay just a bit farther to the north and east, we'll see less snow. I'll keep you updated as the details of this new pattern come together.
