Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Winter Park Daily Snow

The snow keeps going and going and going and going…

Summary

The snow quality is thick and dense, but at least it's fresh snow, and there's more on the way.

Update

On Saturday, we started the day with new snow that was pretty dense.

During the day on Saturday, we saw 1 inch of dense snow, then on Saturday night, an additional inch of dense snow fell at mid-mountain.

Now on Sunday, any snow should slow down or end throughout the day with little snow on Sunday night as well.

On Monday, the next storm will cross Colorado and this should ramp up the snowfall and bring cooler temperatures with fluffier snow quality. On Monday night into Tuesday, a somewhat favorable wind from the west or west-northwest should keep the snow going. Total snowfall from Monday morning through Tuesday midday should be 8-16 inches, and the snow quality will be getting fluffier throughout the storm. There will be a chance for powder during Monday's last chair, and there will be an even higher chance for powder during Tuesday morning's first chair.

On Tuesday, Tuesday night, and Wednesday, snow showers could linger and we might see a few inches of additional snow.

Thursday will be dry, a rare calm day in this stormy pattern.

Then the next system will bring snow from Friday, January 6 to Saturday, January 7. There could be some powder during both Friday's last chair and Saturday's first chair.
