Multiple storms this week

Summary

Saturday was dry and warm, and now Sunday will be a transition day with dry weather to start and snow likely by the afternoon.

Update

Saturday was dry and warm with a high temperature in the 30s.

On Saturday night, a storm moved into southern Colorado though the weather stayed dry for us.

On Sunday, Storm #1 will bring snow from Sunday afternoon through Monday mid-morning. I think 2-5 inches is a reasonable forecast and the best chance to ride powder will be on Monday morning.

Then Storm #2 will bring snow from Tuesday midday to Wednesday midday. I have low confidence in the snow forecast and for now, I'll put in a placeholder of 4-8+ inches. This storm will strengthen just east of Colorado on Tuesday night, and sometimes this can lead to an upside surprise, so I'll be watching the snow stake from Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning.

We will end the week with Storm #3 which should move through Colorado on Friday. The forecast track for this system is now more uncertain than it was yesterday, so we will need to wait at least another day or two before discussing the forecast details.

And then, just when you thought that our stormy weather pattern couldn't possibly continue, Storm #4 should arrive around January 22-23. Again, this storm is too far out to get into any specifics, though we'll keep an eye on it and will discuss details once there is more consistency in the forecast data.
