Sunny days, then snow next week

Summary

We will see dry and warmer weather through Sunday, then a storm could bring snow on Monday, February 6.

Update

Tuesday delivered soft snow, sunshine, and cold temperatures which only topped out at around 10°F.

The nearly continuous storms that we saw during January will take a break, and now the first five days of February will be dry with mostly sunny skies on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The high temperature on Wednesday will be cooler with readings in the teens, then we should see temperatures warm into the 20s from Thursday through Sunday.

Our next chance for a storm will be from Sunday night through Monday night and my initial reading of this system is that it could be a middle-of-the-road one for us with a snow amount that is not too low and not too deep. We'll keep an eye on the chance for some powder around Monday, February 6.

Beyond the 6th, we could see additional snowfall during the middle or later part of next week, though that is more uncertain. And then looking far into the future, the week of February 13-17 should be stormy across the western US, but it is too soon to figure out what that will mean for us here in Colorado.
