Snow Tuesday, powder Wednesday
Summary
On Monday night we saw a little fresh snow, and now the main event will bring more snow from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning.
Update
Monday was mostly dry and then on Monday night, we enjoyed a quick burst of snow which delivered 1-2 inches at mid-mountain.
Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning will be the timing of our next storm. I think 7-14 inches is about the right forecast as dry air could move in and keep our snow totals on the lower end, or the storm could swirl in just the right way and deliver more than a foot of accumulation. There could be some powder for Tuesday's last chair, and the best chance for the most powder will be on Wednesday's first chair. The snow quality will be on the thicker side due to warmer temperatures in the 20s, though this is not really a bad thing as the somewhat thicker snow could help to cover the harder base. We will likely see sunshine by Wednesday midday which would turn the new snow into mush, so get after it early.
Thursday will be dry, sunny, and warm with a high temperature in the upper 30s.
Then on Thursday night, a fast-moving storm will bring snow overnight with 3-7 inches of accumulation by mid-morning on Friday and this will provide fun fluff to slide around during Friday morning. Dress warmly as Friday morning will be chilly with a temperature in the teens.
Looking further ahead, April 29 to May 2 will likely be dry and warm with high temperatures in the 40s and 50s. Then it's possible that we could see more clouds and showers later next week around May 3-5.
