Looks like a ridge

Here's the forecast for this upcoming weekend. It looks like a ridge out west (warm, dry) and a trough in the east (cool, snowy-ish). This is just the overall pattern and doesn't show specific storms. Sometimes, individual storms can push through the northern Rockies and into northern Colorado on their way from the Pacific Northwest into the east, so there's still the possibility of snow out west. But this does look eerily similar to the pattern earlier this year. The good news is that it's hard to image an upcoming western ridge that will be as persistent as the ridge in November and December. But anything can happen...
