Snow & clouds & optics, oh my!

Jeremy Swanson, the photographer for Aspen / Snowmass sent me these images taken yesterday on Snowmass. Yes, yes - pictures of snow and skiing are cool. But sometimes you just have to nerd out on the weather a little bit. First up is a picture of a halo around the sun, caused by the ice crystals in the air refracting the sun's rays in a certain way.

And who doesn't like having the feeling of flying and being above the clouds? Always a cool view.

Thanks Jeremy!
