WATCH: The FIFTY - Landry Line

The Landry Line off Pyramid Peak near Aspen, CO is considered a test piece of ski mountaineering in the Rockies. First skied by Chris Landry in 1978, it was a futuristic, world-renowned, and seemingly unrepeatable line. 28 years later, the second descent by Chris Davenport, Ted Mahon, and Niel Beidleman ushered in a new generation of skiers and snowboarders.

'The FIFTY' is a project to climb and ski all 50 lines chronicled in the book, "The Fifty Classic Descents of North America". Over the next three years, Cody Townsend will be chronicling the adventures, challenges, and travels as he takes on a collection of the most aesthetic, spectacular, and hardest lines in North America.
