Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Copper Mountain Daily Snow

Update

Copper’s mid-mountain snow stake has recorded one inch of new snow each day for the past three days. This may not seem like much, but cool temperatures, cloudy skies, and a bit of fresh snow each day help to keep conditions soft.

Coming up, expect Sunday to be mostly cloudy with just light snow showers or flurries.

On Monday, we should see steadier snow start during the late morning, midday, or early afternoon (sorry that I cannot pinpoint the timing). At least a few inches of snow should accumulate by the time lifts stop spinning, so I think we should see some powder on Monday afternoon. Snow could continue on Monday evening and Monday night as well.

If the snow on Monday and Monday evening doesn’t hit Copper head on or doesn’t stick around for all this time, accumulations might be 3-5 inches. However, if the band of snow does hit Copper head on and hangs around for most of this time, we might see surprisingly high snow totals, perhaps double digits. Regardless of the exact number of inches, Tuesday morning should offer fresh snow and fun conditions. Snow showers will continue on Tuesday, which means there should be soft turns on Wednesday morning as well.

Following dry days on Wednesday and Thursday, we might see additional flakes on Friday, with another storm possible around February 13th.

Thanks for reading and stay tuned for an update each morning!
