Update

Wednesday will start out with mixed precipitation and fog before partly cloudy skies begin to take over during the afternoon. The snow line will hover near the summit so liquid precipitation is not out of the question.

Partly to mostly cloudy skies on Wednesday night will be followed by partly sunny skies on Thanksgiving day. Mild and breezy winds from the southwest will push mid-mountain highs back into the low 40s.

Following the break on Thanksgiving day, another mild and very moist system will make its presence felt beginning on Thursday evening. This system will start out with snow levels near and above 8,000 feet through Thursday night, followed by colder temperatures and snow levels below the base by Friday morning. We should only be looking at 1-2 inches at best through Friday afternoon before mostly dry conditions settle in for the weekend.

Our quiet weekend will then be followed by a much colder system for Monday and Tuesday of next week. We should see the first signs of the approaching system by Sunday evening, with periods of moderate to potentially heavy snowfall through Monday and into Tuesday. Stay tuned...
