More Snow Early Next Week

Summary

The storm that I have been talking about for early next week has taken a turn back further north again. At this point, it is likely that southern portions of the region will see the heaviest snowfall totals, but the rest of NH as well as southern, central, and western Maine would also see a light to moderate snowfall Monday into Monday night. In the long range, another Clipper storm could bring light to moderate snowfall around the middle of next week.

Details

After another very cold day on Sunday, out next storm will start to approach the region on Monday. Thankfully, the track of this storm has begun to swing back north again. I have fairly high confidence that resorts in southern NH will see the heaviest snowfall totals. However, snowfall for the rest of the region are a bit less certain. As of right now, it appears that central NH, the Whites, Western Maine, and Central Maine will see at least a moderate snowfall with the possibility for more. The rest of the region would see a light snowfall at best. Snow would likely not start until late afternoon on Monday at the earliest, and would continue into Monday night making Tuesday a powder day.

Long Range

Around the middle of next week there is the possibility of another storm. This next storm would be another Alberta Clipper storm, and would likely bring light to moderate accumulations. Otherwise, expect the generally cold temperatures to continue, meaning that conditions will also continue to be ideal.
