Steamboat Daily Snow

Heads up, there may be fresher snow! Read the latest Steamboat Daily Snow

Saturday will be the last in our string of sunny and dry days. There will once again be a temperature inversion on Saturday morning as the temperature at the base should be around 0F while the temperature at mid mountain and above will be much warmer with readings in the upper 20s to low 30s.

Our next chance for snow will begin late Saturday night or Sunday morning and continue through Tuesday morning. A series of weak to moderately-strong storms will pass quickly across northern Colorado during this time, and we should alternate between times of steady snow and times of light snow or dry weather. I think our best chance for steady snow will occur from Sunday midday through Monday morning, so look for the best powder potential on Monday morning with a report in the 3-6 inch range. There is a chance that we could see a few more inches of snow on Monday, which would make Tuesday morning another great time to enjoy fresh turns. After this system, we’ll experience two days of sunny and dry weather on Tuesday and Wednesday then a fast-moving storm will bring 2-4 or 3-6 inches to Steamboat sometime between Thursday midday and Friday morning. Check back right here every morning for an updated forecast!
