Steamboat Daily Snow

Update
Welcome back to the Steamboat Daily Snow, a forecast that I update each morning throughout the season!
The mountain will open for Scholarship Day on Wednesday, November 22nd (passes are not valid, all proceeds from the day's lift ticket benefit the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club Scholarship Fund). The first day that you can use a season's pass or multi-day pass will be Thursday, November 23rd.
So far this season, we've seen more dry and warm weather than we have snow, but we did receive a significant storm between November 4-7 with about 12 inches of snow at the summit.
Looking ahead, expect dry weather for most of this week, then a storm will bring snow from Thursday night through Friday night. Friday should be a stormy day with snow, cooling temperatures, and strong winds. Total snowfall by Saturday morning should be in the 4-8 inch range, and perhaps a bit more if we're lucky.
After that, I do not know what will happen between November 19-23. Most models indicate dry weather, but there is a storm or two that may defy the models and attempt to push toward Colorado. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for reading and check back each morning for an updated forecast!
