Round 1 Today...

Summary

Breezy and cloudy this morning and then snow will arrive this afternoon. Snow levels should initially start near lake level and then rise to 7000 ft. by dark. We could see an inch or two of snow today. Winds will gust to 40+ mph on the mountain tops. Tonight the snow levels rise to 9000 feet overnight. Snow changes to rain and only expecting a few inches of snow above 8000-9000 feet. We should have a break Wednesday into Wednesday night but the winds continue to increase, gusting to 65+ mph on the mountain tops. Thursday more precip moves in with snow levels still around 9000 feet. Then Thursday night the heavies precip moves in as well as a cold front moving through. Snow levels will drop below lake level overnight. Heavy snowfall is expected for all elevations. We could see several inches at lake level and 1-2 feet on the mountains. Friday will be cold with highs only in the 20's and scattered snow showers. We could see a light accumulation on Friday. The rest of the weekend looks cold and sunny. Next week looks mainly dry with temperatures warming. There may be some light snow with a cold front Wednesday night.
