TODAY (SUNDAY APRIL 19) IS CLOSING DAY FOR PCMR AND BRIGHTON... SOFT CLOSE FOR ALTA (they will be open again next weekend).

Warm and dry thru Tuesday.   Wednesday and beyond, a slow-moving closed low will slowly meander across the Great Basin bringing enough moisture and energy to fire up showers, especially during the afternoon hours.  This will continue into the weekend.

Accumulations should generally be light and confined to above 7,000 feet, but if we get under a persistent band of precip later this week, we could certainly see higher totals in areas.  More on that as we get closer.

It does look like yet another trough could move into the region early to middle of next week.  We'll keep an eye on that.  In general, it's a fairly typical Spring pattern with unsettled weather and occasional showers.  Good news for maintaining the snowpack as we approach May....
