Update

Welcome to the Winter Daily Snow for the 2018-2019 season!

I will update this forecast every day from now (Wednesday, November 7, 2018) through the end of the season in April 2019. We will talk about snow, the weather forecast, and especially when we can expect the next storms and deep powder days.

The mountain will open for the season on Wednesday, November 14, but the atmosphere does not conform to resort schedules and has been delivering snow to Winter Park for over one month.

About 5 miles from the mountain, at a backcountry weather station at Berthoud Pass, the base depth of natural snowfall is 22 inches which means that about 4-5 FEET of snow has fallen so far during the fall of 2018. That’s a great start and puts our base depth at about 230% of average for November 7th.

Coming up for Wednesday, expect dry weather.

On Wednesday late night into Thursday, look for a few snow showers and clouds with light snow accumulations. Temperatures on Thursday will be cool, in the low-to-mid 20s.

Following dry, sunny, and warmer weather on Friday and Saturday, our next chance for snow will be on Sunday into Monday (maybe 1-4 inches) and temperatures on Monday will be very cold with highs in the single digits (great for snowmaking!).

Looking ahead to opening day on Wednesday, November 14, right now the forecast shows dry weather with comfortable temperatures in the 20s and 30s.

Thanks so much for reading, for your support of OpenSnow.com, and check back each morning for daily updates!
