TAHOE: Strong Start to 2015-2016 Ski Season

In case you've been living under a rock over the past few weeks, the western US has been receiving healthy amounts of snow since late-October. One area that we've been watching in particular is the Lake Tahoe region. As of November 12th, the snowpack for the current water year is sitting pretty at 289% compared to average. After an early-November storm blanketed the region, colder temperatures and an active storm track have allowed for many resorts to open early!

To make it easier for you skiers and snowboarders out there, we've compiled a list of the resorts that are open or are set to open on November 12th.

Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe - OPEN

Boreal Mountain Resort - OPEN

Alpine Meadows - OPEN

Squaw Valley - Opening Saturday, November 14th

Heavenly Mountain - Opening Saturday, November 14th

Northstar - Opening Saturday, November 14th

Kirkwood - Opening Saturday, November 14th

That's all for now but with more storms in the forecast, we're certain the remaining resorts will be open in no time!
