Alpine Deepens; Low Elevation Floods

Summary

An extraordinary event is unfolding. Friday and Saturday will be very wet with snow levels reaching the alpine. Hatcher Pass may be on course for a historically wet week. By Sunday, cooler air begins to change the outlook. Snow levels drop on Sunday leaving a desirable right-side-up top layer to the snowpack. A pause in active weather appears early next week with Tuesday looking clear.
