Summary

The Opening Weekend Storm delivered 35–70 cm of snow across Australian resorts, giving the season a solid start with good terrain open and more to come. Clear skies are expected Friday and Saturday, with light showers Sunday ahead of a front bringing fresh snow early next week, though temps may be borderline at first.

Short Term Forecast

Forecast for Friday 13th to Sunday 15th June

Friday will be bright and calm after early cloud clears, with gentle southeast winds. Saturday remains clear, though winds from the north will strengthen. Sunday sees more cloud about, along with possible light snow and a shift to northerly or northwesterly winds.

Forecast for Monday 16th & Tuesday 17th June

Light drizzle or scattered flurries are expected during Monday, becoming steadier snow overnight, accompanied by strong, gusty winds from the north and northwest.
Snowfall is likely to persist into Tuesday the 17th, bringing a decent fresh layer.

Extended Forecast

Some light snow could turn up on Wednesday, June 18th. Following that, high pressure will maintain dry and stable weather through the week, before a swift weather system arrives on Sunday, June 22nd, with a chance of rain and snow.
