Mostly Dry & Settled Untill Sunday

Summary

Opening Weekend brought solid snow to Aussie resorts—35cm at Mt Buller and up to 70cm at Hotham and Perisher—setting up a strong season start with good terrain open. Midweek may see some cloud and light flurries, followed by clear, sunny weather Friday and Saturday. A front arrives Sunday with wind, rain, and snow.

Short Term Forecast

Forecast for Wednesday 11th & Thursday 12th June

Low morning cloud on Wednesday may reduce visibility before building again in the afternoon, with a chance of snow flurries in northern areas as light southwest winds ease.

On Thursday, afternoon cloud develops once more as gentle southerlies move in, bringing a decent chance of flurries across many resorts.

Forecast for Friday & Saturday 13th & 14th June

Friday looks mostly sunny with some passing cloud and a gentle southerly wind. Sunday stays dry, though high cloud builds later in the day as northerly winds strengthen.

Extended Forecast

Sunday will likely bring snow showers along with brisk NNW winds. A new system early next week could deliver a rain–snow mix on Monday and Tuesday (June 16–17), with lingering effects into Wednesday. From midweek onward, a high is expected to bring calm, mostly sunny conditions.

Thanks for reading. The next forecast will be out early Friday.
