Update

Happy New Year's! As of 7:30am New Year’s Day 4” have fallen overnight at the Challenger snow-stake. Snow showers are currently scattered around the mountain(s) this morning with a current temp of 21 at the bottom of Swiftcurrent chair. A Winter Weather Advisory is still and will be in effect through 11pm tonight for the possibility of another 4-8” above 7000’. Besides off and on snow during the day today SW winds of 20-25mph with gusts to 35mph will make it a bit blustery in the alpine areas. Today’s high temp at 8000’ should be around 24-26 degrees. Snow tapers off to snow showers on Thursday with another inch or two are possible through the day with colder afternoon temps in the mid teens. Friday looks to be a cloudy day and continued chilly. A passing cold front on Friday night will bring gusty winds and perhaps a few more inches on Saturday.
