Funday Forecast

Update

As of 8am Sunday morning 1” new snow has fallen overnight with overcast skies over Lone Mountain and a temperature of 21 degrees in the village. Today expect a mostly cloudy day with snow showers likely by the afternoon with maybe an inch by 4pm and a high temperature of 32 degrees at 8000’.  A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for the region as of noon today until Monday morning. Winds in the alpine will be light, out of the south at around 10mph.

The previously mentioned disturbance will continue into Sunday night looking to bring another 3-6” to Lone and Andesite overnight. Things start clearing late Monday morning with sunny spells by afternoon. Daytime high temps at 8000’ on Monday will be around 24 with light to moderate SW winds of 10-15mph. More unsettled weather kicks in for the rest of the week but not much accumulation is expected through Thursday. Still no big storms on the horizon but I am looking at a possible arctic air incursion late next week.
