Breezy Saturday

Update

At 8am Saturday morning no new snow has fallen overnight with clear blue skies over Lone Mountain and a temperature of 31 degrees (already!) in the village. For today expect it to be warm and windy with sunny skies and a high temperature of 40 degrees at 8000’. SW winds are currently in the moderate range this morning but will build through the day to 25 – 35mph sustained with gusts up to 55mph.

Sunday is still on to bring us a strong Canadian cold front that looks to bring heavy snow during the day with 4-8” possible into Sunday night. Sunday’s high temp at 8000’ now looks to fall to around 15. Lingering snow showers Sunday night into Monday are expected to drop another 1-2”. Monday’s high temp at 8000’ is expected to be 12 above. After a sunny and cold day on Tuesday another moist system rolls in Wednesday into Thursday bringing measurable snow and slightly warmer temps.
