Friday Forecast & Sunday Pow!

Update

At 8am Friday morning no new snow has fallen overnight with cloudy/gray skies over Lone Mountain and a temperature of 25 degrees in the village. For Friday expect cloudy skies with a chance of flurries (skiff to an inch remotely possible) and a high temperature of 32 degrees at 8000’. Winds are currently light but expect them to build through the day to the moderate level out of the SW at 15 – 20mph with gusts up to 30mph.

Saturday now looks to be a full on sunny day but breezy with sustained south winds of 20-30mph with gusts to 45 on the ridge tops with a high of 38 at 8000’. Sunday is still on to bring us a strong Canadian cold front that looks to bring heavy snow during the day with 4-8” possible into Sunday evening. Sunday’s high temp at 8000’ looks to be around 25. Lingering snow showers and dropping temperatures Sunday night into Monday are expected to drop another 2-4” of cold smoke. Monday’s high temp at 8000’ is expected to be 12 above. After a sunny and cold day on Tuesday another system rolls in Wednesday into Thursday bringing more snow and warmer but seasonal temps. Stay tuned as the snow keeps a coming...
